One of my dear friends (who is also a photographer) has married her college sweetheart! Everything was carefully thought out by Lisa and included so many sentimental and special details. One of those being the ring bearer, he is the son of the ring bearer that was in her Mother and Father’s wedding, he also carried the same pillow! I don’t know that I have ever cried as much at a wedding other than that of my own children. From the moment I saw her, tears welled up and I couldn’t stop them from flowing! It was such a joy to be there not only as a photographer but as her friend, to watch all her hard work come together so perfectly.

I met Clay the first time when he contacted me about capturing his proposal at Callaway Gardens, you can see some of that here. There was no denying how smitten he was with Lisa and you can’t help but to just feel happy when you’re around the two of them together!

So that brings us here, the day they say yes to spending forever with each other. They shared a first look at the Arrowhead Pools at the front of the gardens. Lisa chose Dunaway because she wanted to feel like she was getting married in an enchanted forest, and that is exactly what it looked and felt like. There were so many heartfelt moments during the ceremony. From her brother officiating to the single white roses she had honoring her grandparents that could not be present, we were all in tears from the start.

The evening finished with one of the best receptions I’ve ever attended, photographing or not! The 1st Generation Band was there and the dance floor stayed packed the entire night. The other two men in Lisa’s life helped in the entertainment department as her Father joined in on a Rascal Flats song and her brother did a mean Proud Mary!
