One thing you can’t control on your wedding day is the weather. The rain came and went all day but this sweet couple didn’t let that put a damper on their special day. We ran outside with umbrellas in tow (huge thank you to my mentee Julia Hinson Photography for all you did to help keep us dry and light on their faces with the reflector, you were more help than you know!) and got photos when we could and then moved everything inside for their ceremony. It wasn’t their “ideal” plan but it worked and at the end of the day all that mattered was they were married! It was a fun celebration of two people who are madly in love with each and know how to have a good time in spite of what gets thrown their way! Congratulations to the McKoy’s may your lives be filled with as much luck and love as there was rain on your wedding day!

Side note – when things don’t go quite as planned you need to have a skilled planner on hand. Thank goodness for Ashley of Flower Child Weddings being on site and working her magic to turn this around on a dime! She was fantastic!
